Security of Your Information
We take reasonable measures to protect the security of your personal information. We use secure servers and encryption to protect your information when it is transmitted over the internet.
However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.
Photos and Videos You Send Us
When you ask Madison a design question, you may send us photos, a sketch and short videos of your rooms. We use your photos only to answer you, and delete them 90 days after the answer or when you ask.
They are kept on our own server, never published and never shown to anyone else. Photos are re-drawn in your browser before they are sent, which leaves out their location and camera details. To delete yours at once, use the button on your question’s own page, or reply “delete my photos” to our e-mail.
AI answers, pictures and photo reads
Some of our tools have AI extras: a written answer from AI, a read of a photo you add and an AI picture made from your photo. This is what happens when you use one.
- What is sent. Your question and the tool’s inputs (the numbers and choices on the page). With a photo read or an AI picture, your photos too, shrunk in your browser without their location and camera details, and the style and choices you picked.
- Who gets it. Poe (run by Quora, Inc., in the United States), which passes it to the company that makes the AI model: Anthropic, whose Claude model writes the answers and reads the photos; and Google, whose Gemini model draws the pictures.
- Why. To make the answer, the photo read or the picture you asked for.
- What we keep. Nothing of the photos, the pictures or the answers’ text. We keep a record that an answer was made and what it cost, for your credits. For a free answer, we keep a salted hash (a scrambled form) of your device and of your IP address, and for a picture the AI service refuses, of your IP address, so the daily limits hold; we delete these hashes 12 months after the answer.
- What they keep. Poe and the model’s maker (Anthropic or Google) receive it to make the answer or picture, and under their own privacy policies (Poe’s, Anthropic’s and Google’s) may keep it and use it to run and improve their services.
- Sent to the United States. Poe, Anthropic and Google are in the United States, so what you send goes there. The safeguard, as the Data Privacy Framework List showed on 26 October 2026: for Quora, Inc., none (it is not on the list); for Anthropic, none (it is not on the list); for Google LLC, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, its UK Extension and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

We name the analytics services we use so you know exactly who receives information about your visit.
- Ezoic — the advertising platform that serves the ads on this site. Ezoic and its advertising partners may set cookies and use information about your device, approximate location and browsing in order to choose which ads you see and to measure them.
- Google Analytics — helps us understand which pages are useful and how people find the site. It uses cookies and may collect your approximate location, device and browser type, and the pages you view. You can opt out across all sites using Google’s browser add-on.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics — counts page views and measures how quickly pages load. It is cookieless: it sets nothing on your device, stores nothing in your browser, and does not track you across websites or build a profile of you.
