Quick answer: a blind corner cabinet 40½″ wide inside with a 15″ door opening takes four of Rev-A-Shelf’s five blind corner organizers. The Girasolo pull-out reaches furthest: 20½″ of the 25½″ hidden behind the blind panel (80%). The Cloud reaches 71%, half-moon shelves 64% and the 5PSP pull-out 45%. A corner base 34½″ by 34½″ inside with a hinged door takes the 32″ kidney lazy susan. Type your own cabinet above: every size is the maker’s own.

How to use the corner cabinet organizer finder

    1. Pick the corner cabinet. A blind corner is a straight cabinet whose far end runs behind the next one: a door at one end, the rest hidden. A corner base with a hinged door takes a kidney or a full-circle lazy susan; one whose door is fixed to the shelves and turns with them takes a pie-cut; a corner wall cabinet takes a D-shaped one.
    2. Measure inside the box. Rev-A-Shelf: “Measure side to side (width)”, “Measure front to back (depth or length)”, “Measure top to bottom (height)”. A blind corner also needs the door opening, side to side.
    3. Say face frame or frameless and which side the hidden corner is on. The maker gives a separate minimum opening for each front, and the Cloud, the Girasolo and the Curve come in a left and a right version.
    4. You get every organizer that fits with its part number and list price, how far a blind corner one reaches, and what the others would need. Copy link keeps your cabinet. The green button opens the kitchen cabinet size calculator for the rest of the wall.

Blind corner organizers, size by size

A blind corner organizer goes in through the door and reaches into the hidden end. Each size needs a door opening, an inside depth and height, and an inside width at least as wide as the unit. These are Rev-A-Shelf’s own minimum cabinet openings: “Minimum Cabinet Opening for a Face Frame cabinet is 15″W X 22.5″D X 19.37″H” for the 15″ Girasolo, “16.5″W” for the same unit in a frameless cabinet.

    Curve swing-out, 18″18″ / 18⅞″18⅝″22″35¾″$1,216.99

A size in eighths is rounded up, so a cabinet that meets the table meets the maker’s number. The Cloud’s telescoping post fits a 24½″ to 30⅓″ inside height; the others name a minimum only.

How far each one reaches into the corner

The hidden part is the inside width minus the door opening. The finder takes each unit’s width past the opening: a 35½″ Girasolo through a 15″ door reaches 20½″ in. In a cabinet 40½″ wide inside, that is 20½″ of the 25½″ hidden: 80%.

Reach is not everything. The pull-out reaches least but brings it all to you: “Unit slides completely outside of cabinet for hard to reach items.” The Girasolo “Pulls directly forward, eliminating the need for adjacent appliance clearance.”

The kidney sizes, in the maker’s words: the 28″ is “Designed for 33″ angled corner base cabinets with a hinged door”, the 32″ “Designed for 36″ corner base cabinets with a hinged door.” The post sets the height: “Adjustable post will accommodate a 26″ to 31″ interior cabinet height.”

    Kidney, pie-cut or full circle?

The door decides. Rev-A-Shelf: “Kidney Lazy Susans only work with corner cabinets when the door is hinged and will not attach to any type of door.” And the other way round: “ALL Pie-Cut Lazy Susans are designed to have a custom door mounted to trays for proper installation and operation.” If you are not sure: “If your door is hinged, most likely you need Kidney Shelves and Not Pie Cut.”

A pie-cut is mostly a new-cabinet part: “Most Pie Cut Lazy Susans are installed in NEW Cabinets, due to the cabinet door being made specific to this model and cabinet style.” A D-shape is the wall cabinet’s: “Designed for Corner Wall Cabinets.”

    Worked examples

    • A corner base 34½″ × 34½″ inside, 28½″ tall, hinged door: the 32″ kidney (6472-32-11-52, two shelves holding 84 lbs each, $188.99 list). The 32″ full circle fits too.
    • A corner base 31½″ × 23″ inside, hinged door: the 28″ kidney. The full circle does not fit: its smallest needs 24″ deep.
    • A blind left corner 46½″ wide, 23″ deep and 30″ tall inside, an 18″ face-frame door: all five fit. The 18″ Girasolo reaches 72% (order 587-18-RMP), the Cloud 69%, the Curve 62%, the half-moon shelves 53% and the pull-out 50%.
    • A frameless blind corner with a 12″ door, 36″ wide and 22″ deep: nothing fits. The closest, the 12″ Girasolo, needs a 13½″ frameless opening and 22½″ of depth.

    Common mistakes

    • Measuring the outside. Every size above is the inside of the box.
    • Forgetting what sticks in. Rev-A-Shelf: “Double check that the product is within your measurements and don’t forget to take into account any obstructions (plumbing, hinges, etc.).”
    • The wrong hand. The Cloud is “Designed for a Blind Right Cabinet with a 15″ opening (Door on Left hand side)”, and a mirror one for a blind left. The half-moon shelves and the 5PSP pull-out fit either.
    • Reading a face frame size for a frameless cabinet. The 15″ Girasolo needs 15″ in a face frame cabinet and 16½″ in a frameless one.
    • A pie-cut behind a hinged door. It needs the door fixed to its shelves.
