The Dream Room Challenge

Design the room you dream about: any room, any style — in the free DreamyHome 2D room planner.

1. The dates

The challenge starts on October 17, 2026 at 12:00 AM and ends on November 15, 2026 at 11:59 PM, US Eastern Time (America/New_York). Entries and votes received after the end are not counted. The planner's clock decides what came in on time.

2. Who may enter

• Anyone 13 years of age or older with a free 2D account.
• A winner under 18 needs a parent's or legal guardian's okay before the prize is given.
• The people who run the challenge cannot win.

3. How to enter

• Design a room in the planner with at least 3 pieces of furniture, then open Gallery → Challenges and choose Enter my room. The design itself is your entry; there are no photo uploads.
• Up to 3 rooms per account. Each room must be your own design.
• Your room's name must be clean: no swear words or slurs, no links and no e-mail addresses.
• Any entry may be reported. A room that breaks these rules, or that is not the entrant's own design, may be removed.

4. Voting

• Anyone with a 2D account signed in by e-mail link or Google may vote: one vote per account per room, and never for your own room.
• Votes that look made up — throwaway e-mail addresses, automated browsers, many votes from one place — are not counted.
• The rooms are shown in a new order every day. There is no public ranking of people.

5. How the winners are picked

• When the challenge ends, the 10 rooms with the most counted votes are the finalists.
• Most votes: the finalist with the most counted votes wins. A tie goes to the room that was entered first.
• Madison's pick: Madison, the founder of Dreamy Home Style, picks one more finalist for its ideas, its use of space and how well it fits the theme.
• One person can win one prize. If the same person would win both, Madison picks another finalist.
• The winners are told by e-mail at their account's address and named in the gallery within 14 days after the end. A winner who does not answer within 14 days may be replaced by another finalist.

6. The prize

Each of the two winners gets: their room featured on Dreamy Home Style's homepage, its Pinterest and a blog post; a winner's badge on the design; a printable certificate; and a free year of 2D Pro, with an approximate retail value of US $39.99. There is no cash prize and no cash instead of the prize, and the prize cannot be transferred.

7. Your room

Your design stays yours. By entering, you let us show your room, its name and your public name (your first name and last initial) on dreamyhomestyle.com, its Pinterest and its newsletter, in connection with the challenge. We use your e-mail address only to reach you if you win; it is never shown to anyone.

8. The fine print

Void where prohibited. If something outside our control stops the challenge from running fairly, we may pause it, change its dates or end it, and we will say so on this page.
